One of the newer Korean brands that I've recently discovered is Hansaeng Cosmetics! According to their website, they are a "true oriental-based" skincare company that uses a mixture of natural ingredients and oriental medicine. If you're a fan of hanbang skincare (skincare derived from tradition Korean medicine), then this is a brand you want on your radar -- they're an award winning brand that took the title of 'Best Oriental Medicine Cosmetic Brand' by the Asia Beauty Awards in 2015!
Today, I'll be reviewing one of their newer products: The Hansaeng Rin Bi-gyeol Yun Essence which contains six-year-old fermented ginseng! It is just one of the items in the Rin Bi-gyeol Yun skincare line which also includes a "skin" AKA toner, emulsion, and cream.

HANSAENG RIN BI-GYEOL YUN ESSENCE
The Bi-gyeol Yun Essence is a highly concentrated essence that offers deep moisturization and sufficient nutrition to the skin while giving it a smoother, more refined tone through the use of 6 year fermented ginseng extract and oriental medicine flower complex, dan-hwa-yon.INGREDIENTS: Water, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Lactobacillus/Panax Ginseng Root Ferment Filtrate, Cyclomethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tamarindus Indica Seed Polysaccharide, Cercis Chinensis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Uncaria Sinensis Extract, Paeonia Lactiflora Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polygonum Multiflorum Root Extract, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Extract, Angelica Gigas Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Papaver Rhoeas Petal Extract, Pueraria Thunbergiana Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Squalane, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract, Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract, Codonopsis Lanceolata Root Extract, Magnolia Liliflora Bud Extract, Astragalus Membranaceus Root Extract, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Lecithin, Sodium polyacrylate, PVM/MA copolymer, Propylene Glycol Dibenzoate, Polysorbate 80, Tocopheryl Acetate, Adenosine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, CI 19140, CI 15985
The Bi-gyeol Yun Essence comes in one of the most beautifully packaged bottles I've ever come across. It comes housed in a yellow pump bottle which is encased in an outer glass shell. The neck of the bottle and the cap are in a matching reflective chrome that's extremely elegant and classy! The packaging is very durable and of high quality with the pull-off cap is securely locked in place. You'll need a good grip to pull of the cap!
HOW TO USE: After applying toner, dispense an adequate amount and gently massage it onto the skin. Then, press or "embrace" the entire face with the palms of your hands to help get the product to absorb better onto the skin.
After two weeks of use, I haven't really notice much of an improvement on my fine lines. I want to note that I don't exactly have wrinkles, but I like to use anti-wrinkle and anti-aging products for preventative measures. I do, however, have a lot of fine lines around my eye area, but there hasn't been much significant change to that. As for the whitening effects, I have noticed that my complexion is much brighter and my skin texture is no longer dry. Performance-wise, I think the Bi-gyeol Yun Essence does the best job with hydrating and revitalizing the skin. Almost immediately upon application, my skin feels much more hydrated, plump, and supple to the touch, which is what I really look for in skin products because I tend to have dehydrated skin along with dry patches of flaky skin!
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I really like the Hansaeng Rin Bi-gyeol Yun Essence, but not quite for its anti-wrinkle properties, since I don't have wrinkles to test it on. The Bi-gyeol Yun Essence helps brighten up my complexion and my skin's tone making it appear healthier and revitalized. My favorite thing about this essence though is its hydrating power. The virtually weightless, water-like essence absorbs almost instantaneously into my skin leaving it feeling much more hydrated, plump and supple right upon application and it lasts throughout the day. It's currently one of my skincare favorites that I can't seem to put down!WHERE TO BUY?
