UNBOXING: Beauteque BB Bag May 2017

I'm a little late with this one BUT Beauteque sent me their BB Bag for the month of May, which was full of fresh picks for spring!

Lets jump right in to the unboxing and review for May's BB Box! :D

BEAUTEQUE MAY 2017 BB BAG

The Beauteque BB Bag is a monthly subscription beauty bag that focuses exclusively on Korean beauty products including makeup, skincare, body & hair products, beauty tools, and etc. Each month revolves around a new theme!

For the month of May, the BB Bag theme was "May Flowers" and the pouch of the month was a slim pale blue bag with colorful dainty flowers all throughout. This is probably my all-time favorite bag that I've ever received for them - I'm a sucker for dainty floral prints! The bag itself is decent quality and definitely a good size to carry around every day makeup essentials.

IT'S SKIN MY BOTTLE VITA SOOTHING GEL

I received the My Bottle Vita Soothing Gel in Vita-P Grape and it looks JUST like a water bottle... How cute! I brought this along with me on my family beach trip and it was truly a blessing for those who wanted immediate sunburn relief. The gel itself is very lightweight on the skin and feels almost watery-like when spread out. It sinks right into the skin without being heavy or sticky, which is ideal for summer! The soothing gel isn't the most moisturizing gel out there, but it was very soothing and cooling on the skin which was a huge plus. And if you're wondering, it does not smell like grapes (sadly). 

ETUDE HOUSE LOVELY COOKIE BLUSHER

I received the Lovely Cookie Blusher is the shade Grapefruit Jelly, which is a beautiful pinky-coral, but unfortunately it's the ONLY shade that I already own. :'( Luckily, it's a shade I love and one I can wear every single day no matter the season, so I don't mind having a back-up. The blush gives the cheeks a soft and matte natural flush! It's a very sheer formula, so it's fool-proof and hard to mess up or overdo. I really like Etude House's Lovely Cookie Blusher line and am tempted to pick up more shades!

LINDSAY LAVENDER MODELING MASK

I've personally purchased a handful of the Lindsay Modeling Masks before, and sadly they're not my cup of tea. They're great for cooling off the skin and it feels very relaxing on, but as for special benefits? It leaves my skin hydrated and bouncy for only a short while and isn't nearly as effective as sheet masks, at least on my skin!

FACIAL CLEANSING MOUSSE

My favorite thing about subscription bags is that they introduce me to new beauty brands I've never heard of/tried before, like this one! I received the Tsaio Camellia Wash-Remove Oil Mousse, which is a super gentle, fluffy foam cleanser that does a great job removing makeup! It does take a bit more effort to remove eye makeup or waterproof formulas though, so I'd recommend using supplementary cleansers for those! 

PERIPERA SPEEDY EYEBROW AUTO PENCIL

The Speedy Eyebrow Auto Pencil came in the shade Gray Brown, which is my perfect shade match! It's dual ended with one side being a spoolie and the other side containing the brow pencil. The pencil is in an oval shape and is slightly bigger than ABH's Brow Wiz or Pony Effect's Sharping Brow Definer. This may not be the best product to get super precise and crisp lines with, but it does a great job filling in brows for a naturally defined look.

SHIMEIYI OVAL FACE BRUSH

Though I LOVE receiving makeup brushes in my subscription bags, I'm not a huge fan of these "toothbrush" type of brushes. Nonetheless, this brush was soft with densely packed bristles and didn't shed on me! It's a decent size to really target specific areas like for contouring along the hollows of the cheeks.

REVIEW

May's BB bag came with a total of 6 items with an estimated value of around ~$61! The box costs $24 a month with free shipping, so the value was out of the ball park for this one! 

Also included with the BB Bag is an informational card that lists and describes the items and brief directions in English! 

Not only is this month's bag one of my favorite bags I've ever received from a subscription service, but the product selection is also a winner. Though there wasn't much variety since there was only skincare and makeup items/tools this month, I'm very happy with 4 out of the 6 items. I thought April's bag was a tough one to beat, but this one takes the cake! It included popular favorites like the Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher and the Lindsay Modeling Masks, and also a lot of products/brands I've never tried before like the Peripera Speedy Eyebrow Pencil, It's Skin My Bottle Vita Soothing Gel and the Tsaio Facial Cleansing Mousse! It's rare for a monthly bag to get me this excited and this month was definitely a hit for me!
