REVIEW: COSRX Clear Fit Blemish Cushion (27 Deep Beige)

COSRX has been one of my absolute favorite k-beauty skincare brands for several years now. I still use a lot of their skincare products in my daily regimine, like the One Step Moisture Up Pads every morning and the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence every night! Not to mention, I can NOT live without the Acne Master Pimple Patches. 

When they launched their Clear Fit Blemish Cushion, I knew I needed it in my hands. The Clear Fit Blemish Cushion is marketed as a skincare treatment and makeup foundation all-in-one. Wearing the cushion not only conceals blemishes, but it also helps soothe and treat acne. Stylekorean kindly sent me the cushion in #27 Deep Beige to review!

Clear Fit Blemish Cushion conceals skin concerns effectively while Centella Asiatica Extract cares your delicate skin. This lightweight formula also provides ideal protection from UV rays with broad spectrum SPF 47 UVB/UVA sunscreen. The color will stay true and properly stick on skin.

The Clear Fit Blemish Cushion comes housed in a sleek all matte black square compact. I absolutely adore the aesthetic which looks very cool and unique, however, it does get dirty easily. 

The compact also comes with one cushion puff, and no additional refills. 

The foundation comes sealed with a sticker and a very secure cushion cover that keeps the foundation locked inside and fresh. 

Located in the heart of the compact is a mochi-type of sponge with the foundation sandwiched inside. The cushion becomes activated once you press into the sponge-filled center. 

The Clear Fit Blemish Cushion contains SPF47 PA++ UV protection and is available in 3 shades:
#21 Bright Beige     |     #23 Natural Beige     |     #27 Deep Beige

I got the shade #27 Deep Beige, and before I go any further, I KNOW. I know I got the wrong shade LOL. Typical Korean foundation shades usually run very light, so I assumed that I would be the darkest shade. Boy, was I wrong! I believe I'm around NC25 (maybe a tad lighter), and #27 Deep Beige is a very rich deep beige with warm golden undertones. On me, it runs really warm and just ever so slightly orange because it's just so tan and rich! I believe my actual shade match would be shade #23. I blended the foundation down my neck so the photos wouldn't look too weird!

As for the photos, I did not edit any of the face photos except for brightening up the exposure so everything is more visible and clearer. Here is a before and after with just applying ONE layer of the cushion foundation:

Despite the wrong shade selection, the actual formula of the Clear Fit Blemish Cushion foundation is freaking FANTASTIC! I'm shook at how this looks on the skin. This is a full coverage cushion foundation with only ONE layer and it creates a smooth, even canvas on the skin. It masks every. single. one. of my flaws including blemish, bumps, redness, discoloration, and hyperpigmentation. 

Personally, I find that it's easy to accidentally be heavy handed with this product and it can end up looking a little too thicc if you're not careful. The foundation blends out effortlessly with the cushion puff and it doesn't emphasize any dry flakes or pores. If you do apply too much, it does settle into fine lines.

The cushion foundation feels comfortable on the skin, but it did feel a little heavier/thicker than other cushions that I am used to. The finish is also a natural, but radiant semi-matte finish. It's not transfer proof, so I do recommend setting this with a setting powder to keep the foundation intact all day. With powder, my skin looks nearly flawless and smooth. 

As for the skincare aspect of this cushion, I can't really attest to it. It does not irritate my skin whatsoever and I do notice my skin condition improving. BUT, I can't tell if my skin and blemishes are healing because of the cushion, or just because of my skincare routine. One thing to note is that there is a medicinal tea tree scent present in this cushion, but I really like how soothing it smells.

The Clear Fit Blemish Cushion does transfer very easily if it's not set, but with setting powder, the foundation lasts 8+ hours on my skin. After about 6 hours of wear, I do notice my oils on my t-zone (especially nose) breaking through the foundation. Besides that, the foundation is still good to go!

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Clear Fit Blemish Cushion is what I would reach for when I want to look like I have smooth flawless skin. I FREAKING LOVE THIS CUSHION. It conceals everything with just one layer and it feels breathable on the skin. I'm definitely going to pick up shade 23, ASAP! I highly, HIGHLY recommend picking this up.
