REVIEW: Hansaeng Cosmetics Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream

I often find myself reaching for 'hanbang' skincare (skincare containing fermented ingredients derived from traditional Korean medicine) during the colder seasons when my dehydrated skin needs some major nourishment. Hanbang creams usually come jam packed with skin-loving ingredients and one of my current faves I'm reviewing today is the Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream by Hansaeng Cosmetics!  The Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream contains a plethora of unique oriental ingredients including six-year-old fermented ginseng as well as an oriental herbal complex known as Danhwayeon. Moisturizer is a necessity to help keep the skin feeling hydrated, plump, and comfortable throughout the day and this one does it all without being greasy or sticky!

Containing extracts from 10 oriental ingredients, the Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream presents a smooth and refined skin tone with whitening and anti-wrinkle properties.

The Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream comes in a jar encased in an icy blue tinted glass with a reflective silver twist-off cap. The entire jar has a lot of weight to it making it not only eye-catching, but also very luxurious. I've previously reviewed several products by Hansaeng Cosmetics, like the Rin Bi-gyeol Yun Cream and the Rin Bi-gyeol Yun Essence and the packaging for their skincare remains fairly consistent with varying packaging colors to represent different skincare lines. I'm a huge fan of the packaging because it looks so elegant, but one thing to note is that it does not come with an included spatula.

Housed inside is a lightweight gel cream that's tinted blue just like the jar. The cream has a very lightweight consistency similar to a gel, but it provides the long-lasting moisture of a cream. It spreads easily into a thin layer of coverage on the face that's instantly hydrating and perfect for wearing alone or pairing with makeup.

It's not heavy on the skin, doesn't clog pores, and it leaves behind a semi-dewy, almost velvet-like finish that's not sticky or greasy. Plus, it's actually very breathable and comfortable on the skin! The texture and color of the cream is comparable to that of belif's True Cream Aqua Bomb, but it's not as moisturizing as the Aqua Bomb. The scent of the Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream also differs greatly in that it has a strong powdery floral scent!

While this cream may not be as moisturizing as belif's Aqua Bomb, the Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream contains many more skin friendly ingredients that not only provide moisture, but also help brighten and revitalize dull and dry skin. The cream absorbs quickly and penetrates deep within the layers of the skin providing moisture that lasts about 7-8 hours before I feel like reapplying. It provides the skin with instant hydration that feels very breathable and light on the skin but has just enough thickness to lock in the previous skincare steps keeping the face looking fresh and dewy for most of the day. If worn as a night cream, I wake up to supple skin even into the next morning!

The six-year-old fermented ginseng is meant to improve blood circulation and refine wrinkles, and even though I don't have wrinkles I like using it as a preventative measure. It helps my skin become plump and bouncy to the touch, especially my cheeks! The Danhwayeon complex helps provide long-lasting moisture and nourishment which calms the skin and transforms my complexion to one that's  slightly brighter and more evenly toned.

The Rin Bi-gyeol Soo Cream is ideal for those with dry or dull skin! It's a lightweight gel cream that provides the skin with long-lasting moisture without being heavy or pore-clogging. It applies easily and dries down quickly to a fresh and dewy finish that's not greasy or sticky. The skin is bouncier and supple to the touch while my complexion has transformed from dull to one that's more evenly toned! I really like this cream for a lightweight option without compromising hydration and it even contains a plethora of natural oriental ingredients that are extremely skin friendly!
