REVIEW: e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum

I've always been a loyal customer to e.l.f beauty/makeup products ever since I was in middle school! I loved how their brand was super inexpensive, but most of the items were of good quality. e.l.f. sells everything from makeup tools like eyelash curlers and brushes, to eye, lip, and face makeup (hence what 'e.l.f.' stands for). Recently, they came out with a skincare line which I am DYING to try! But before I pulled the trigger and bought the whole skincare line, I decided to purchase and try out their new Foundation Serum!

The e.l.f. Foundation Serum is a part of their new Beautifully Bare collection and it comes in only three shades: light, medium, and dark. The Foundation Serum also contains UVA/UVB SPF 25 and is designed to help "revitalize color and radiance to skin." It is also infused with Vitamin A, C, & E, Grape Seed Oil, Pomegranate Oil, and Goji Berry to help "brighten, restore, nourish, and protect the skin." HOW TO USE:
Shake well before use. Use pump to dispense product. Apply a small dot amount of product in the center of the forehead, chin, and cheeks working outwards using the e.l.f Blending Brush, fingers, or a sponge to blend in. Reapply for buildable coverage.

REVIEW:

In my opinion, I think the foundation serum is pretty forgiving when it comes to color matching. Even though there are only THREE shades, it applied flawlessly onto my skin and the color matched perfectly! The foundation serum is pretty thin and blends out really easily, so it can match many different shades even if it doesn't look like a perfect match when looking at the bottle.  The formula itself is really liquid-y and runny which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It does make it easier to make a mess, BUT it is very weightless on the face and also absorbs almost instantly giving a dewy, glowing look. This foundation serum does NOT make your face cakey at all, which I LOVE! It has decent medium coverage and was able to cover a majority of my blemishes, red spots, and imperfections. I think this is the perfect foundation to use for everyday wear when you're not looking for something super heavy, but more of a natural dewy look. The Foundation Serum wore for about ~4 hours on me until I felt like I needed a touch up. (PS. Don't forget to shake well before use! I make this mistake quite often LOL)

CONS:

Only 3 shades
A bit too runny

RATING: 4/5 - I would, and probably will, wear this foundation for my everyday wear! It's an okay price, e.l.f. used to be a lot more inexpensive for the amount, but it works extremely well. I love a natural dewy and glowing look!
