I'm a total sucker for cute packaging and cool innovative products. I mean who isn't, right? That's why lately I've been super obsessed with Korean beauty products and makeup! Korea and other Asian countries seem to be way ahead of the game when it comes to coming out with new unique beauty products and being in the United States is absolute torture! It's always hard trying to get authentic beauty products from a reliable source (because Ebay sellers aren't always trustworthy) and without a crazy shipping cost. Fortunately, there are many sites that are starting to sell Korean beauty products in their stores and online! One of these online stores is Peach and Lily! I've mentioned PeachandLily.com before in a previous post, but in case you guys didn't know, they're an authentic online beauty store that has the latest high-quality and most popular beauty/makeup products from Korea.
I was kindly sent a package from Peach and Lily with several beauty items to review for you guys.
Today, I'll be reviewing the Peripera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher in #2 Happy Coral! And I must say the packaging is beyond adorable.
HOW TO USE:
Gently squeeze the bottle to get color into the cushion applicator. Dab on until you achieve the look you want (sheer flush to a full cover).
The blush enters the applicator through three holes (as shown in the photo below) when you squeeze the bottle.

REVIEW:
I really like the concept of the 'cushion' part of the blush and how you can just dab or bounce it on to apply, but I don't like having to clean it because it gets dirty after one use! Not only is it covered in the blush, but it also rubs off some of my foundation since I like to wear foundation first before blush. Luckily, the cushion applicator does come off pretty easily for cleaning and it pops right back on. I guess I just have to not be lazy and clean it often!
Besides the applicator, I love the formula of this blush! It's blush, but in liquid form which I've never really liked before! I've never been a fan of liquid blush just because all of the ones I've tried always left an awkward stain where the blush was applied initially; where I first applied the blush was always darker than the other areas! The Peripera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher is NOT like that! The formula is very thin (not cakey at all) and it's easy to blend it. It just glides onto the skin and applies very evenly. It applies pretty sheer, but the formula is buildable if you're looking for more intense look. Keep in mind that since it is pretty sheer and thin, it'll take a while to build the color. The formula is also dewy and a bit moisturizing, so it helps enhance your face giving you a natural glowing and flushed look. I noticed no streaking with this blush at all. I'm also a very happy girl because the shade #2 Happy Coral is a VERY beautiful and flattering shade especially for my medium-tan skintone. It gives me a nice subtle flush, but if you're anything darker than a medium skintone, the Peripera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher is probably not for you. I feel like this blush would look SO beautiful on people with a fair to light skin tone, since the color would be a lot more visible.
PROS:
Natural flushed cheeks
Nice glow
Easily blendable
Thin; NOT cakey

RATING: 4/5 - These are just so cute! I actually like the natural flushed look and don't mind it not being super intense. I secretly want to collect them all. >:)

That is a darn cute product. I'm the same way, total sucker for cute packaging.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a blusher like that. I was a little skeptical because it was in a tube, I had no idea how the product would be distributed.
I'm FINALLY starting to get into blushers, so I'll have to look into this one. The only one I use now is a light pink color that came with my Too Cool For School multibox and I'm working to get the application just right without looking like a porcelain doll XD
I can't wait to see what other products that they sent, and your thoughts on all of them!

Agreed! I want all of them :D. Trust me, this liquid blush works wonderfully and blends super well! Plus, it really helps with giving you a natural look. I usually only use powder blushes, but this is the first liquid one that I actually adore and love. :) I'll post reviews on the other products soon! <3
