One of the most important products that affects how your base makeup looks is your primer! The primer is your real base and the first product that sets the foundation for your other products to build off of. Primers not only help prolong the wear time of your makeup, but it can also make a huge impact on preventing your foundation from looking cakey, flat, or uneven!
A facial primer that I've been loving lately is the Heimish Artless Glow Base, which I received courtesy of Jolse! Heimish, despite being a relatively new brand, has made waves in the K-beauty world. I fell in love with their Dailism Eye Palettes (review here), and since then, I've been a huge Heimish fan. The Artless Glow Base did not disappoint and *spoiler alert* you're gonna want to get your hands on this!

The Artless Glow Base comes in a wide squeeze tube with a twist-off rose-gold cap. Printed on the white tube is a baby pink and pale grey asymmetrical geometric design along with a reflective rose-gold font that matches the cap.
With the brand's name engraved into the center of the reflective cap, Heimish manages to keep their packaging extremely simple, but still give off a cool-girl aesthetic that's uber chic! Untwisting the cap reveals a small nozzle that makes dispensing the fluid formula easy and mess-free.
The makeup primer is a pearl white hue with a very pale iridescent pink tinge to it. It has a fluid, almost lotion like, texture to it that spreads and blends effortlessly into the skin with zero drag or pull! What I like about this primer is that it's very forgiving on the skin - it creates a smooth base for your makeup and it doesn't bunch up around or accentuate dry/rough patches.
The slight iridescent pink tint to the primer helps brighten up the skin's overall tone without creating a ghostly white cast. Once blended in, the primer has a glossy finish that feels moisturizing on as well as breathable and lightweight! There's no glittery flecks or chunky shimmer at all, just a very natural all-over sheen that makes your face look glossy! It helps transform makeup that looks flat, into one that looks like you're radiating from within. Not the artificial glittery glow, but the real "my skin is naturally healthy and dewy" glow!
The Heimish Artless Glow Base is actually a very versatile product that can be used in many different ways. Here are my favorite ways I like to use this product:
2. Mix the Artless Glow Base in with foundation to add a hint of luminosity to your face makeup! I only used a little bit for a very subtle difference (I know it's hard to tell in the photo), but you can use as much or as little as you'd like!
The Artless Glow Base evens out the skin tone and gives skin instant luminosity and dewiness. There's no sticky or greasy feeling to the touch, but the glossy finish is so dewy that it could be mistaken as borderline greasy, though it doesn't feel oily on the skin. I wouldn't recommend wearing this alone if you have oily skin (or just hate the super dewy look), but when paired together under or with a foundation/bb cream, skin looks radiant and healthy!
Personally, I don't think the Artless Glow Base does a good job with prolonging makeup wear, at least from what I can tell. There's not a huge noticeable difference in it making my makeup last longer (though I wear long-wearing makeup and can't tell anyway), so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a primer that will extend how long your makeup lasts. However, if you're looking for a good makeup base to add luminosity to your makeup then this is a great choice!
FINAL THOUGHTS
I was very impressed with the Heimish Artless Glow Base in terms of improving my flat foundation to one that looked more radiant. If you're looking for a makeup base that will hide all your pores + imperfections and prolong makeup then this one probably isn't for you. BUT, if you're in the market for a radiant base that'll add a bit of brightening and glossiness to your face then this is it! This makeup base will give you a glow that can range from a slight dewy hint to a glossy beam depending on how much you use and how you use it. Along with working as a base, it can also double up as a natural-looking liquid highlighter - it adds a glossy beam to the skin without any glitters or shimmers! However, be careful not to use too much at once or else it'll end up looking greasy rather than dewy!

Are you using anything on your lips here? Also, have you tried the su:m37 air rising dazzling base? If so, could you compare the two?
ReplyDeleteNope, it's just some clear Vaseline lip balm! And unfortunately I haven't tried that. I think I might have a few sample packets of it lying around, so I'll try it out and report back to you once I do. :)
DeleteExcellent review! I have been using a sample of this and I love it so much. :-) http:divadesle.com
