REVIEW: Heimish Dailism Eye Palette (Breeze Beige)

I'm sure you've probably already heard me rave about the Heimish Dailism Eye Palette one too many times, but in case you haven't -- Heimish makes some of the best Korean eyeshadows I've ever tried. Their eyeshadow palettes have taken the K-beauty world by storm and has won over the hearts of many, mine included. I've previously reviewed two other shade variations, Cozy Coral and Brisk Grey, but I decided to pick up another one because I love the quality of these shadows just that much.

Today, I'll be reviewing the Heimish Dailism Eye Palette in Breeze Beige, courtesy of Jolse!

The Dailism Eye Palette comes in a slim rectangular compact case with curved sides and is made out of a smooth, durable plastic. The packaging is a simple all matte black with nothing but a rose-gold 'heimish' embossed on the bottom righthand corner. There's nothing super special or eye-catching about the packaging itself, but it still manages to look very classy and sleek! I'm obsessed with its minimalistic appearance as if it's saying "let the shadows do the talking".

There are no shade names included inside the palette, however, all of the names are put on a sticker on the back.

The palette itself does not open all the way, but instead opens a little over 90 degrees. The shadows are still easily accessible and the mirror is angled in a way that the palette can be placed on a table and the mirror can be used to apply the shadows.

Housed inside the palette case is a large mirror, 8 beige and brown toned hues, and a double-ended brush. The brush is relatively small and about half the size of an ordinary eye brush. Surprisingly, the Heimish brush does a fairly good job with applying eyeshadows! It's a suitable travel brush that gets the job done.

One end of the brush has a soft and fluffy medium-sized tip. The brush head is rounded like a C-shape and is meant to apply eyeshadow allover the lid as well as pack on color. Since the brush tip is a bit fluffy, it can also double as a blending brush to blend out harsh edges.

The other end of the brush is smaller and thinner in size. It also has a rounded head similar to a C-shape, but is much more compact. This brush works best with the highlighting shades in the palette because it allows you to pack on the shadow with precision in specific targeted areas, such as the tear duct or inner corner of the lid.

The Heimish Dailism Eye Palette comes in 6 different shade variations:
BREEZE BEIGE   |   LOVESOME BRINK   |   COZY CORAL   |   BALMY KHAKI   |   BRISK GREY   |   BLISSFUL PLEVY

I've previously reviewed Cozy Coral and Brisk Grey, but my favorite so far has got to be Breeze Beige because it contains the most versatile shades that are ideal for any time of day and any occasion. Breeze Beige contains beige and brown toned hues that would look great on any skin tone, any season, or any time of day/night. The palette contains a mixture of soft mattes, smooth satins, and a few shimmery highlighters. It's rare for me to find an eyeshadow palette where I would use every single shade, but this is THE one!

DARJEELING MILK

Darjeeling Milk is an ivory beige in a soft matte finish and ideal as a base shade. Because the shadow is so soft, it's a little bit powdery to the touch and does kick up a tiny bit of product in the pan. However, it blends out smoothly and evenly onto the lids creating an even canvas for layering eyeshadows. Darjeeling Milk does apply a bit sheerer than the rest (though still visible on the lids), giving off a natural appearance to the eyes.

EARL GREY

Earl Grey is a cool-toned taupe with a grey base in a satin finish. It has a slight sheen to it, but there are no visible shimmers or glitters in the shadow. The formula is very smooth with vivid pigmentation and great color payoff. It's much more opaque than the mattes and applies noticeably smoother onto the lids. This shade is also a great base shade!

MOCHA

Mocha is a bronzey copper in a satin finish with a slight golden sheen to it. This is one of my favorite shades out of the palette because the pigmentation is so intense! The shadow feels very soft and buttery to the touch, which allows it to blend seamlessly onto the lids.

CAPPUCCINO

Cappuccino is a light taupe brown in a shimmery finish, ideal for highlighting the lids or as a point shade. Unlike the other shades in the palette, Cappuccino has more of a foiled or 'pressed pigment' formula rather than a pressed powder. It feels a bit chunky initially, but blends out seamlessly to a shimmery, almost metallic-like finish. It's great to use as a highlighter to add dimension, but beware for fallout!

ROOIBOS

Rooibos is a nude brown-beige in a soft matte finish that works well as a base shade. It has a very soft and lightweight texture that blends out smoothly.

YUJA

Yuja is a muted rosy pink in a satin finish and is ideal as a middle color. This shade also has a slight sheen to it that gives the eyes more dimension. It's another favorite of mine out of the palette because it goes on so smoothly and blends out effortlessly!

SILVER PEARL

Silver Pearl is a cool-toned slivery white in a shimmery finish, ideal for highlighting the lids. Again, this one, like Cappuccino, has a 'pressed pigment' formula. It feels a bit chunky and gritty to the touch, but blends out smoothly onto the lids. You can apply this lightly for a faint sparkling glow on the lids, or pack it on for an intense shimmery finish.

ESPRESSO

Espresso is a dark brown hue (similar to the color of espresso) in a satin finish with a slight sheen to it. There's no distinct shimmers or glitters in the formula, but it's not completely matte either. Unlike the other satin shadows, this shade was a little bit drier, which caused it to apply a bit patchily. It does blend out fairly well though. It's buildable so the patchiness can be covered up with an additional layer of shadow. Plus, you can apply it lightly for a gentle wash of color, or build up its intensity. It's an ideal shade to accentuate and define the eyes - I like to use it to deepen my crease or contour my lids because it blends out to a very natural soft finish.

The majority of the eyeshadows are very finely milled and blend easily to an even, silky smooth layer of color! The mattes have a very soft texture that almost borderlines powdery, but blends out effortlessly onto the lids to a silky finish. The satin shadows are very buttery to the touch and even feel a little bit "creamy", even though they're pressed powder shadows. These particular shades (Earl Grey, Mocha, and Yuja) are intensely pigmented shadows that provide vibrant color payoff in very smooth finishes. Even though Espresso has a satin finish as well, it was a little bit drier than the rest and therefore applied a bit patchily and unevenly.

On the other hand, the glittery shades in all of the Heimish eye palettes have more of a 'pressed pigment' formula rather than a pressed powder like the rest of the shadows. They can feel a bit chunky and gritty to the touch, but once on the lids, they blend out really well to an intense shimmery finish. These kick up quite a bit of product in the pan since they're more similar to pigments. There can also cause a lot of fallout when applying, so be careful!

The Heimish Dailism eyeshadows performed amazingly well throughout the day! Even without a primer, there was zero creasing or transferring of the shadows. I was able to get about 7-8 hours of wear before I noticed any creasing or fading of color. These shadows are very long-lasting and great for all-day wear!

For my eye look, I went for a very simple eyeshadow combination and used a colored liner to add a pop of color. I used Rooibos all over my lid as a base shade and then deepened the outer edge and crease with Espresso. This helps contour my lids and add a little extra depth to my eyes. Then, I applied Yuja to my inner lid and Mocha to my outer lid making sure to blend them together in the middle. Lastly, I added a dab of Cappuccino in the center to highlight my lid and give more dimension to my eyes.

If you're wondering, I used Pony Effect's Long Wear Precision Liner in Marsala to line my eyes. It's my current favorite at the moment that goes really well with brown eyes, but isn't you're typical black or brown liner!

FINAL THOUGHTS

So far, the Heimish Dailism Eye Palette in Breeze Beige is my favorite out of the ones I've tried! The color selection is great for any time of day - It's appropriate for not only work and school, but also for creating sultry looks for going out! Plus, it would work well for most skin tones, because who can go wrong with browns?

All of the shadows compliment one another and blend together harmoniously. There are two matte shades, 4 satin hues, and 2 shimmery highlighting colors. The satin hues have the best texture out of them all because they're incredibly buttery to the touch and offer amazing pigmentation. The mattes are super soft to the touch and blend out effortlessly, while the shimmery shades make any look eye-catching. This is the only palette I own where I've been using every single shade!

If you're in the market for an everyday eyeshadow palette, I highly recommend this one! I know the Heimish Dailism Eye Palettes can be a bit pricey, but Breeze Beige is definitely worth it.
