REVIEW: Rouge Bunny Rouge Naked Disguise Liquid Glide Concealer + COUPON CODE!

I have tried many Rouge Bunny Rouge beauty products in the past year from their amazingly crafted brushes, which was what got me first hooked on the brand, to their HOLY GRAIL Milk Aquarelle foundation (review HERE). Rouge Bunny Rouge quickly became one of my favorite beauty brands of all time. Ever. Today, I'll be reviewing one of their newer products: their NEW Naked Disguise Liquid Glide Concealer. WHAT'S THE NAKED DISGUISE GLIDE CONCEALER?

The new Glide Concealer has an exciting new liquid formula, free from silicones and mineral oils. Highly blendable, it offers the perfect balance of blemish coverage and a natural, luminous finish.

This new, moisturising formula is based on a smoothing and skin-plumping blend of vegetable waxes, enriched with the blend of natural Avocado, Jojoba, Argan and Rosehip Oils that was selected for their nourishing, anti-oxidant and rejuvenating properties.

SPECIAL INGREDIENTS
Fully Vegetable-based Nylon Particles (100% from Renewable Resources): high oil absorption, high covering power, excellent adherence and wear, pleasant skin feel

Blend of Natural Oils: avocado to nourish the skin, jojoba as antioxidant agent, argan as an anti-aging and rosehip to improve elasticity

Natural Ester (100% from Renewable Resourses): emollient

Lecithin Coated Pigments (ECOCERT certified): skin affinity, adhesion

Blend of Glycerin and innovative Humectant from Corn (Renewable Resource): tested synergism which allows to achieve higher level of moisture with a less tacky texture

HydracireTM S: 100% vegetal origin raw material obtained by a patent functionalization of three vegetal waxes: jojoba, sunflower and mimosa; soft and plump skin due to strong nourishing and moisturizing effect

Free from mineral oil and silicones.

The Naked Disguise Liquid Glide Concealer now only comes in two shades, Castalia and Melia. The one I'll be reviewing today is Melia, the darker one of the two.

REVIEW

Packaging and Design
The Naked Disguise Glide Concealer comes in a sleek all-silver pen. Pulling off the cap reveals the concealer applicator which is a white brush-head. On the opposite side of the pen, there is a silver button, which you just push down to dispense product through the brush. One of my favorite things about the Naked Disguise Glide Concealer is that it's completely travel-friendly! I mean, it's in the shape of a pen and combines the concealer and applicator (brush) in one! It's lightweight and portable, so you can just toss it in your handbag for quick touch-ups throughout the day.

The only thing I dislike is that the brush head will get dirty easily and you'll have to keep cleaning it like you do your normal brushes!

Ease of Use/Application
Applying concealer cannot get any easier than this! Since this concealer is in a pen-like container, it makes it a breeze to hold and control. To use, you just give the pen a click, one for light coverage and two for medium coverage, and just use it to draw the concealer where you want it. However, even though this concealer comes with a brush head, you do need to use another tool to blend it in. The brush head is used to just draw on concealer, so you get a thin and even application as compared to tube or jar concealers. I like to use my fingertips to blend it in to get the most natural coverage. This concealer can be used to hide imperfections (such as dark circles, blemishes, and redness) or it can be used on the eyelids as an eyeshadow primer!

Texture and Scent
The texture of the Naked Disguise Glide Concealer is very creamy! Since it's so creamy, it doesn't dry out your skin or cause flakiness. Plus, the texture is very lightweight and allows the finish to never be too heavy or cakey; it gives the perfect semi-matte finish! There's also no strong detectable scent that I noticed, so I would definitely recommend it to those that are sensitive to smells.

 Effectiveness
What I love most about this concealer is that it's very lightweight and feels like my second skin! It provides buildable light to medium coverage that looks like my bare skin, but better! I recommend to apply it in layers if you need more coverage and not all at once or you'll risk it getting cakey. It covers up the redness from my blemishes like a dream and it also gives my face a more luminous glow. Liquid concealers are my favorite because I found that they're the easier to blend in and they look the most natural, so I'm glad the Naked Disguise Glide Concealer got reformulated!

Though it's stated that you can double this up as an eyeshadow base, I don't recommend it for super long wear. I found that my eyeshadows tend to crease after an hour or two of wearing this on my eyelids, but it might be because I have naturally oily eyelids!

As you can see, it evens out my skintone almost perfectly by masking all the redness and even almost completely covering my veins! It's not a cakey heavy finish, but a lightweight and luminous one!

PROS

Travel-friendly
Easy to control
Easily blendable
Lightweight/second skin feel
Not cakey
Evens out skin tone
Minimizes redness & small imperfections
Brightens up face/luminous finish

CONS

Brush head gets dirty easily

RATING: 4/5

The Rouge Bunny Rouge Naked Disguise Glide Concealer has become one of my favorite concealers alongside the well-known Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I personally like the Rouge Bunny Rouge one a LOT more just because it's super easy to blend out and gives a nicer, luminous finish than the Nars one. I found myself reaching for this concealer the most when I need to quickly conceal my blemishes while still going for the natural no-makeup makeup look!

The Rouge Bunny Rouge Naked Disguise Glide Concealer retails for $38 and can be found at RougeBunnyRouge.com, HERE!

  1. Melia really suits you! Do you know if Castalia is pinker or is also beige-ish in tone? I'm always on the lookout for more concealers so I'll definitely make full use of your coupon. Thanks Mary!

    1. Castalia is also beige-isn in tone, it's just a bit lighter than Melia! The description for Castalia is natural light beige while Melia is a medium peach beige (I don't notice much of the peach in it). I hope that helps! :)

Also, if you're searching for a foundation, definitely try the Milk Aquarelle foundation I reviewed a while ago... It's just SO perfect in every way besides the somewhat expensive price tag!
