Today's review is on one of my favorite makeup brands of all time and it's the brand that got me addicted to makeup in the first place. Yup, it's time to do another review on some Yves Saint Laurent goodies! :) Why is YSL one of my favorite brands ever you ask? Well, it's easy; it's quality products with gorgeous packaging and I'm a huge sucker for pretty/cute products that actually work.
Today I'll be reviewing the new Rouge Pur Couture Satin Radiance Lipsticks in #9 Rose Stiletto and #19 Fuchsia.
WHAT'S THE ROUGE PUR COUTURE SATIN RADIANCE LIPSTICK?

REVIEW
Packaging and Design
YSL is known for always having some of the best packaging around and they always set the bar. Most of their makeup products are donned in stunning shiny gold and these lipsticks are no different. Each lipstick comes in a super luxurious all-gold packaging with a bold black 'YSL' engraved into the cap. Not only that, there's the 'YSL' also engraved right onto the lipstick bullet itself!
Unlike the typical tube shaped lipsticks, these YSL lippies come in rectangular prisms. The cap is easy to pull off and put back on. It doesn't have that 'clicking shut' closure, but instead when you put the cap back on, it creates a slight tension that secures the cap shut. The packaging is extremely sturdy and everything about it (looks, form, functionality) is A++! I could seriously just stare and admire the packaging all freaking day!
Ease of Use
What's great about these lipsticks is that you certainly do not have to be a pro to be able to use these. They're hands-down one of the easiest to use lipsticks I have ever encountered and here's why: 1) the lipstick packaging is easy to handle
2) The lipsticks are super creamy and just glide onto the lips with absolutely no pull or drag or anything. Seriously these are THE lipsticks to get.
Texture and Scent
The texture is to-die-for. It's the creamiest lipstick I have ever used, but it's firm enough to stay put on your lips. The Rouge Pur Couture Satin Radiance Lipstick has a (you guessed it) satin finish. I prefer these to any other kind of lipsticks out there because glossy ones can tend to be overly glossy/shiny and mattes tend to dry out my already dry lips. There's a very natural looking and soft sheen when these lipsticks are applied. The formula itself is incredibly moisturizing and hydrating. I have REALLY dry lips and usually need to wear a lip balm underneath my lip products, but I didn't need to with these.
I don't know why, but YSL always adds fragrance to their lipsticks and every single product (even the mascara!) has the same scent. If you've tried YSL products, then you know what scent I'm talking about; it's a faint floral perfume scent. I would rather much prefer their products to be unscented, but at least it's not a bad scent. If you're very sensitive to smells then this might be a product you want to skip over.
Performance
Can I just say that Influenster knows how to pick some pretty shades?! Ugh, I just can't get over how perfect both of the shades are. Both have a natural satin finish and the formula isn't drying at all on my lips. The Rouge Pur couture Satin Radiance Lipsticks don't cling to dry spots nor does it settle or emphasize fine lines. The lipsticks are highly pigmented and I mean it's so intense that you only need one swipe and you get full-on color.
The formula is really long-lasting with minimal color transfer once it sets. I wiped my lips with a napkin thinking that everything would come off, but the color still stayed on!
#9 Rose Stiletto
This is the perfect "my lips, but better" shade of lipstick (it's a bit darker than the photos show). It's a gorgeous rich berry rose that's perfect for every occasion, whether it's just everyday wear or for going out. Not to mention that this is a shade that will go well with all skin tones! This shade of lipstick will match any outfit for any season and is definitely one of my favorite lipsticks. EVER.
#19 Fuchsia
Okay, I love bright colors and especially bright pinks. This is a very very vibrant magenta-purple shade that is probably reserved for the brave and the bold. I personally really do like this shade, but it's a color that I would save for special events where I want to add a nice pop of color to my outfit. It's so bright on my lips that I don't see myself wearing this for normal days.
I cannot rave about these lipsticks enough. Out of my entire lipstick collection (and I have a lot), these are without a doubt the very best I have ever tried. Everything from the pretty packaging, the creamy, moisturizing and highly pigmented formula, to its long lasting ability makes it one of the top lipsticks. Though they're a bit more pricey than most brands, it's definitely well worth every penny.
