REVIEW: Vely Vely Magic Wand Lip + Eye Hybrid Concealer

I have been on the hunt for the perfect lip concealer for the longest time now! Wearing a lip concealer helps allow a lipstick show it's truest shade without having your own natural lip color affect it. It can also be worn to help create easy gradient lip looks! My natural lip color is pretty pigmented and dark making it hard for me to rock some light or bright lip colors, like light shades of pink, without my natural lip color peeking through, so I was excited to try out the Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer by Vely Vely!

VELY VELY MAGIC WAND LIP & EYE HYBRID CONCEALER

The Vely Vely Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer is a 2-in-1 concealer product with both a lip and eye concealer! It contains notable ingredients such as Argan Oil, which helps to vitalize the skin and also Cupuacu Butter which works to moisturize dry and sensitive skin without irritation.

Like most Vely Vely products, the Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer comes in adorable and very chic pale pink triangular packaging. There's also a cute black polka-dot print running along the top and sides of the box. I've previously reviewed the Sliding Butter Crayon Lipstick (HERE), which also had very similar triangular packaging, but with a zigzag print instead! I love how Vely Vely likes to match the design on the box with the packaging of the actual product.

The Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer is a double-ended product containing both a stick concealer on one end and a liquid concealer on the other end. The liquid concealer is meant for the eye area while the stick concealer, which is shaped like a nude lipstick, is meant for the lips.

LIQUID EYE CONCEALER

The Liquid Eye Concealer comes with a flat, but pointed doe-foot applicator making it easy to get a precise application. It contains a silicon elastomer which has moisturizing ingredients that help hide wrinkles by creating a thin film, therefore creating a smooth canvas. It feels very silky and velvety to the touch and blends out really well! I love how it creates a very thin, soft veil over my dark circles and it's one of the best liquid under-eye concealers I've used that actually helps to conceal my under-eye bags!

I've always had a problem with a darker under eye area and dark circles, so it's critical for me to find an under-eye concealer that can help lessen the appearance of eye bags -- this does the whole entire job! The nude concealer has a peach undertone that really works to combat the dark area giving my eyes a brighter and more wide-awake appearance. This concealer does, however, settle into my fine lines a bit throughout the day(all concealers have), but this can be eliminated by setting with a powder!

STICK LIP CONCEALER

The Lip Concealer is my favorite part of the Magic Wand duo! I love how it comes in a lipstick form making it easy to apply right on to the lips. This lip concealer has a creamy formula that applies very smoothly, but it can be a little drying. I recommend using a small amount of lip balm before application and that usually does the trick for me!

The concealer contains a silicon matte finish powder which leaves the lips with a silky, but matte finish. It does a decent job filling in fine lines, so that lipsticks can have a smoother canvas and apply more evenly. Unlike the liquid eye concealer, the lip concealer is a slightly more yellow based and more neutral toned.

Plus, the lip concealer really helps lipsticks show their true color without your own natural lip color interfering! This lip concealer is perfect for those of you who have pigmented lips or those of you that have trouble doing gradient lip looks! The Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer literally makes gradient lips a piece of cake. I tend to avoid light lipstick shades because my natural lip color would always peek through, but this lip concealer works amazingly well to mask your natural lip color.

FINAL THOUGHTS?

The Magic Wand Lip & Eye Hybrid Concealer is such a versatile product and I love how it's so multi-functional! The liquid eye concealer does an amazing job with concealing dark under-eye areas and brightening up the eyes, making you appear more awake and well-rested. It's the best liquid under-eye concealer I have tried to date. Plus it has a soft and silky finish that isn't cakey. I recommend setting with a powder to keep the concealer lasting through the day, because it does settle into fine lines!

The lip concealer on the other hand is a great tool to use when you want to mask your natural lip color and make a lipstick shade stand out more. The texture is the perfect amount of creamy to cover fine lines without being too drying or clinging to dry spots. If you have naturally dry lips like me, I recommend using a bit of lip balm before application to make it apply more smoothly. It has a nice silky, but matte finish which is the perfect base for all kinds of lip products -- matte, satin, or even glossy! I found myself reaching for this product almost everyday and it's definitely become a staple in my makeup routine!
