REVIEW: L'Herboflore Aromatherapy Masks (Palmarosa Reviving Mask + Lavender Moisturizing Mask)

I'm finally back with some more L'Herboflore sheet mask reviews, courtesy of Chuusi! :D If you know me, you know that L'Herboflore is my top favorite brand of masks of all time, so I was beyond excited to get a few to test out and review for you guys.

The two facial sheet masks I'll be reviewing today is from L'Herboflore's Aromatherapy series which actually only contains these two masks: The Palmarosa Reviving Mask and the Lavender Moisturizing Mask! :)

WHO IS CHUUSI?

Chuusi is one of my absolute favorite online Asian Beauty stores that carry a bunch of goodies from brands like Ciracle, Cosrx, L'Herboflore, Lovemore, and many others. It's my go-to store when I'm in need of more L'Herboflore sheet masks because they're hands-down the cheapest place to purchase them online! They're truly a hidden gem!

Though they're based in Canada, they also have decent shipping prices to the USA, and even to other countries worldwide! You can check out the countries they ship to HERE!

The Canadian dollar is pretty bad right now, but that means it's a perfect time for us to take advantage of the cheap prices. I usually find L'Herboflore masks online anywhere from $4-$8 depending on the type, but Chuusi has MOST of them for $3 CAD a pop which is currently only $2.36! I know, crazy right?! However the Aromatherapy series, which contains special therapeutic scents, are slightly pricier ringing in at $5 CAD per mask which is currently $3.89 per mask, which is still pretty awesome!

THE FIT AND QUALITY

I've previously reviewed several L'Herboflore sheet masks before (HERE and HERE), where I went into detail about the fit and overall quality of the masks, so I'm not going to go into too much detail since my opinion of these masks haven't changed.

These sheet masks are made of a "state-of-the-art Japanese multilayer, breathable material with natural fibers that perfectly conform to the skin." The fabric is very thin, lightweight, and adheres so well to the skin. There's absolutely no slip or adjusting needed when I put these masks on -- they actually stay in place throughout the whole duration!

These masks are well saturated with essence, but are surprisingly drip and mess-free! There's also enough extra essence in the pack for those of you who like to apply it all throughout your body like your neck, arms, legs, hands, and etc.

Now fit-wise, these are BOMB. These are the best fitting masks I have ever come across. They're made to fit most, if not all, face shapes and sizes, so it might not fit like a glove for everyone out there, but it's come pretty close to perfect for me. They look wider than they are long, but when applied, it fits perfectly from edge to edge with a small amount wrapping under my chin.

What's great about these masks is that there are little perforated slits all along the edges of the mask which allow for a more customized fit. There are exactly 12 all along each side of the forehead, temples/cheekbones, bottom of the jaw, chin, and etc. These slits don't come separated, so if you prefer the mask as is, then you can keep it that way! If not, you can gently tear along the slits and overlap the mask flaps to get a more perfect fit.

Here's a little info on the mask sheet (Taken from LHerbflore.com):

What I love about L'Herboflore sheetmasks overall is that the essence absorbs directly into the skin, instead of just sitting on the surface. I'm left with a smooth, hydrated, and moisturized canvas with no sticky or greasy feeling leftover.

THE MASK 'FLAVORS'

A wrinkle-smoothing sheet mask enriched with French palmarosa extract to moisturize the skin and lessen wrinkles. Palmarosa breathes a light fragrance to soothe your emotions and revive your spirit and energy. With hyaluronic acid, chamomile extract, and proline added, this sheet mask can repair and restore the smoothness back to your skin.

The Palmarosa Reviving Mask is my favorite out of the two because of the lovely fresh roses scent! I'm a sucker for fresh florals and it's even better with this one because of how calming it is. I like how these masks incorporate these aromatherapy scents because they're super relaxing and soothing when wearing. It's perfect for when you want to unwind after a long day!

Before I tried on this mask, my face was getting irritated all around (I'm not sure from what), but the most noticeable spots were near my cheek and nose. It was getting itchy, a bit inflamed, and very red, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that this mask calmed my irritated skin right away!

This mask, like all the other L'Herboflore masks, was drenched with essence and it gave my skin a major hydration and radiance boost. It left my skin feeling so hydrated and plump! Plus, my complexion appeared much brighter and my skin was supple well into the next day. I had a luminous glowing complexion and smooth, plump skin. I highly recommend this when you're in need for a relaxing pampering night.

A moisturizing sheet mask enriched with French lavender extract to purify and restore oil and water balance to the skin, while the lavender fragrance helps to induce relaxation and soothe your stress. With hyaluronic acid, Chamomile extract, and proline, the skin will feel moisturized, improving the roughness of the skin and smoothing wrinkles.

INGREDIENTSAqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Sodium PCA, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Sodium Lactate, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, PCA, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine, Isoleucine, Histidine, Phenylalanine, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Saccharide Isomerate, Allantoin, Trehalose, Mannitol, Sodium Citrate, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isopropyl Alcohol, Cellulose, Triethanolamine, Hyaluronic Acid, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Parfum, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Sulfite, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Methylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Sodium Acetate

The Lavender Moisturizing Mask was also very calming. It has a light lavender scent that's very therapeutic and I can feel my stress lifting away as I wear this mask! Usually, lavender isn't one of my favorite scents but this fragrance smelled natural and not too over-the-top.

The essence has a light consistency that's non-sticky and absorbs deep into the layers of the skin leaving my skin baby smooth, supple, and moisturized. This mask also helped to give my dehydrated skin a boost of hydration that helped keep all my dry patches at bay for multiple days after use!

As you can see from my before and after photos below, my complexion become a heck of a lot more even. The redness and discoloration around my nose and cheeks disappeared and my face became a lot more uniform and toned. If you're looking for quick and effective masks, L'Herboflore ones are your best bet!

FINAL THOUGHTS?

The L'Herboflore Aromatherapy series is perfect for those who want some extra relaxation with their sheet masks through therapeutic scents! Both of these sheet masks have very similar effects like giving the skin a boost of hydration and radiance. I noticed that the Palmarosa Reviving Mask helps give me a brighter and clearer complexion that lasted well into the next day. On the other hand the Lavender Moisturizing Mask injects my skin with so much moisture and eliminates my dry patches! It's a fantastic mask for my dehydrated skin, though both masks do make my skin much more hydrated and moisturized!
