REVIEW: MAXCLINIC Cirmage Lifting Stick

The MAXCLINIC Cirmage Lifting Stick is just one of those miracle products that's so crazy and unimaginable that you have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. It's definitely a product I'm familiar with, ever since it went completely viral on Facebook!  I mean, just take a look at this promotional/demo video right here!

You're sold, right?! Their demo video caused a madhouse dash for this product that quickly began selling out all over the web. Clearly, the video looks very real, and the results looked extreme, but was it really true? I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Cirmage Lifting Stick, which I'll be reviewing today!

MAXCLINIC CIRMAGE LIFTING STICK

The Cirmage Lifting Stick is a unique miracle stick meant to temporarily defy aging skin. It claims to lift the skin up and tighten it as well as making loose skin plump and supple! This product is the only one of it's kind on the market (that I know of), which is no surprise that it drew so much attention. It's such an innovative product that makes an awful lot of large claims, so I was very excited to try it out!

Unfortunately, the entire box is written in Korean, so I am unable to translate it for you! :(

The Cirmage Lifting Stick comes in a cool heart shaped design all decked out in a luxurious gold packaging. The unique curvy shape makes it easy to fit into many different nooks and crannies such as the eyes, the jaw, cheeks, sides of nose, temples, and etc. It looks very classy and exudes the high quality feel, though it's much smaller than I expect and fits in the palm of my hand.

It features a reflective gold pull-off cap which reveals a hidden protective layer covering the product. There is also a dial located at the bottom of the stick which is meant to bring the product up for use. However, it's slightly difficult to use because the dial is awkwardly sectioned off which forces you to twist it up in small increments. This can be time consuming and a little annoying.

The Cirmage Lifting Stick has a unique texture and consistency that resembles a glue stick. It's very solid, stiff, and tacky! It's like basically applying glue to your skin which then holds up the sags and wrinkles, but at what cost? It drags on the skin, pulling the skin with it instead of gliding across the surface. It's very difficult to maneuver across my skin and it's definitely far from gentle. It felt irritating my skin because the pulling and tugging on the surface was just a little too rough for my skin to bear.

The Cirmage Lifting Stick does indeed lift the skin up and out, while tightening it up along the way, but it's barely noticeable for me. Keep in mind that I don't exactly have many wrinkles or saggy skin yet, so the effects would be minimal at best. I definitely can feel that my skin is tighter and lifted and it feels like a very slight and temporary botox, but nothing stiff or uncomfortable as I would imagine real botox would be. The only places were I have noticeable fine lines is my under-eye area, and the Cirmage Lifting Stick didn't help fill them in or lessen their appearance.

I seriously debated putting a Before + After photo because I just couldn't tell a difference whatsoever! But here it is... I only applied it along my jaw and my cheeks in this photo. The Cirmage Lifting Stick was more of a product that I could feel it working rather than see physical results, but that's partly because I don't really have sagging skin to be lifted. When worn, my cheeks just felt a lot more tightened and firm, which I liked, but again, the effects shown are very minimal and hard to see!

Despite the true (but majorly toned-down) effects, I couldn't wait to remove this from my skin! It's incredibly tacky like glue and weighs down my face. It also feels a bit greasy to the touch and just sits on top of the skin's surface. Though the product is able to stay on the skin all day (12+ hours), the lifting effects are very short lived and skin sinks back down to its original position after about one to two hours.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Long story short, I was very unimpressed with the Cirmage Lifting Stick -- it just didn't work well for me and my skin! It's undeniable that it does indeed lift the skin and tighten it, but the effects are short-lived and last about 1-2 hours. I personally felt like the bad outweighed the good for this particular product. The texture of the stick felt like glue and it dragged my skin with it, which wasn't gentle at all. It also left a heavy, sticky, and slightly greasy residue on my skin that just sat on the surface all day! It's was uncomfortable for my skin because I felt like it couldn't breathe, though it did not clog my pores or cause me to break out.

The Cirmage Lifting Stick is a product catered to those who have a want or dire need to combat their aging skin. If you're looking for a product to temporarily lift up your sagging and aging skin, then yes this works, but the sticky and uncomfortable film it left on my skin was not worth it for me.

  1. Wow, I will admit that I'd never heard of this product before reading your review, Mary. But knowing Korean marketing, I quick guessed it wasn't going to do wonders. I do notice a difference between your Before and After pictures though, a very slight difference along your jawline which does look tightened. But it surely is a temporary effect. My question would be, did your skin react in any kind of way to the 'glue' (pimples, redness, sudden dryness)?

    1. Surprisingly no! I thought I would break out due to it, but it didn't clog my pores or anything like that. It just feels really heavy on the skin and sticky!! :/

    1. Yeah, I didn't like it because I couldn't really see visible results and the results, though my skin felt tighter. It certainly didn't last long though!

  3. Same here. I didn't really like this product. This dragged on my skin giving birth to more pre-mature wrinkles rather than preventing them if I may say. And the product itself is heavy on the skin and whenever I tried it out my skin begins to feel itchy. that feeling you get when you know a product will surely break you out. I had to remove this product from my face right away.

    1. Did it cause you to break out in the end?! I was so scared it would make me break out too! It was just so sticky and uncomfortable to have on... I have no idea how it got so popular because I didn't see any noticeable effects, especially not like that promotional video!
