REVIEW: LAFINE Vegetable Foam Cleansing

Today, I'll be reviewing the LAFINE Vegetable Foam Cleansing, which is a cleanser I know all too well! If you've been following my blog from the earlier days, you'd know that I've already reviewed this product over a year ago, HERE. Since then, I've used the Vegetable Foam Cleansing up completely and know all the ins and outs of this cleanser, so when it landed on my doorstep this month to test (again) I knew it was the perfect chance to write an updated review!

The Vegetable Foam Cleansing (120ml) is a foam cleanser made up of 5 skin-friendly ingredients: Parsley, Carrots, Cucumber, Tomato, and Water Parsley! I've used many different types of cleansers throughout my life so far, but I've never come across one that's so centered and focus on vegetables. But hey, everyone knows that vegetables are good for you, so it's no surprise that they're also good for your skin! Plus, the cleanser is free from parabens, Benzophenone, Talc, Animal oil, and Triclosan.

INGREDIENTS: Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Myristic Acid, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, PEG-150 Stearate, PEG-150 Distearate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamide DEA, Catalpa Ovata Bark/Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Oenanthe Javanica Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Extract, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Chromium Oxide Greens, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Iron Oxides, Ascorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Butylene Glycol, BHT, Triethanolamine, Fragrance, CI 19140, CI 42090

The Vegetable Foam Cleansing comes in a very simplistic white squeeze tube bottle with a leafy green flip-top cap. The printed design showcases the 5 main vegetable ingredients used in this cleanser, which fits in nicely with it's good-for-you aesthetic. The cap opens up easily revealing a decently sized hole for dispensing product.

The cleanser itself is cream-colored and contains mini beads which I've since learned from my past review, AREN'T for exfoliation. One of my previous complaints about this cleanser was that these beads, which I thought were for exfoliation, did a terrible job because they were too sparse and spread out. Since my previous review, I realized that these beads actually dissolve into the skin as you lather on the cleanser. They help deliver nutrients directly to the skin! As for scent, the Vegetable Foam Cleansing has a very fresh, (you guessed it...) veggie fragrance.

When water is added to the Vegetable Foam Cleanser, it foams up easily to a thick mochi-like foam. A little definitely goes a long way with this cleanser and all you really need is a pea sized amount!

The cleanser claims that the vegetable extracts help hydrate the skin, leaving your face looking and feeling dewy, however, that wasn't the case for me. The Vegetable Foam Cleansing does a really good job giving my skin and pores a deep clean, however, it sometimes does too good of a job leaving my face with an uncomfortable squeaky clean feeling. It effectively removes dirt and makeup residue from my face, but it also leaves my face feeling a bit dry and stripped of its natural oils. It's a little too harsh for my skin to handle, but it comes in handy every once in a while when my face feels like it needs to be cleansed thoroughly.

The Vegetable Foam Cleansing is a great cleanser if you're looking for one to give your skin and pores a deep clean, especially that "squeaky clean" feeling, but it can be too harsh at times leaving the skin feeling overly dry, tight, and stripped of its natural oils. It does a good job lifting dirt and makeup residues from my skin, but it's not a cleanser that my skin can handle using daily. Sadly, this cleanser just wasn't for me!

The LAFINE Vegetable Foam Cleansing (120ml) retails for $23.99 and is available HERE!
