REVIEW: MAXCLINIC Miraclinic Ampoule Dressing + Contouring Object

I'm a huge sheet mask addict and have tried many kinds of facial sheet masks before such as ones made from cotton, silk, lace, bio cellulose, as well as hydrogels! It's very rare for me to actually be wowed and surprise by sheet masks nowadays because they usually fall into into one of those categories above, but the Miraclinic Ampoule Dressing + Contouring Object from MAXCLINIC was one-of-a-kind!

MAXCLINIC MIRACLINIC AMPOULE DRESSING + CONTOURING OBJECT

When the Miraclinic masks landed onto my doorstep, I was shocked! For only 4 sheet masks, it comes in a HUGE box. It's a two-part mask with the first part being the Ampoule Dressing and the second part being the Contouring Object. The reason for the unusually large box is because the Contouring Object part of the mask doesn't come folded and is separate from the Ampoule Dressing.

The Ampoule Dressing is the actual sheet mask part of this combo and is made of a thick cotton that feels very soft and gentle on the skin. It comes in two separate pieces: a top half for the eyes and nose, and a second part for the lower half of the face that also wraps around the upper half of the jaw/neck. The cutouts for the eyes and the mouth were decently shaped, however the entire mask was too big and extended way past my hair line and the sides of my face. I had to fold down the edges to make them fit!  Sadly, the mask material was too thick for it to actually stay comfortably on my skin and it kept falling off, especially the jaw/neck piece!

The mask comes decently soaked in a clear essence and wasn't too drippy or messy, but definitely enough to last about 45 minutes to an hour without drying out, though it's recommend to only leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes.

The Contouring Object is the second part of the mask and also the most interesting and innovative! It literally looks like a netted paper mâché piece of fabric, sort of like plaster! To use, apply the Ampoule Dressing sheet mask first and then layer the Contouring Object on top. The essence from the Ampoule Dressing wets the Contouring Object and softens it to fit around the contours of your face. Eventually, it hardens down and turns stiff just like paper mâché!

The Miraclinic mask is definitely a one-of-a-kind mind and it felt like I was applying a cast to my face or mummifying my skin! It was such a cool experience, but overall, the mask was just a very poor fit for the shape of my face. Besides the shape of the mask though, it was pretty effective! Though I didn't notice much of a visible difference to my skin, my face actually felt lifted, tighter and more firm. It was like the Contouring Object was a corset for my face and helped it retain a more firm shape! As for other effects, the mask helped to add in an extra boost of moisture and gave me a slightly brighter complexion. It was very fun and simple to use, with effects I could definitely feel!
