REVIEW: Daeng Gi Meo Ri Look At Hair Loss True Shampoo

One of the items in my BNT Box for the month of June was the Daeng Gi Meori Look at Hair Loss True Shampoo. I've tried a lot of Korean beauty products already, but have yet to try out a Korean shampoo! From what I know, this is a very popular brand of haircare products in Korea. I have yet to use anything by this brand, so I'm definitely excited to review this for you guys.

As the name of the bottle suggests, this is a shampoo geared towards combating hair loss while gently cleansing the hair and scalp. I do not have a problem with hair loss whatsoever, but I was very interested in how it would cleanse and make my hair feel after using.

WHAT'S THE DAENG GI MEORI LOOK AT HAIR LOSS TRUE SHAMPOO?

The Look at Hair Loss True Shampoo offers all-in -one hair protection and scalp care. It delivers energy and vitality to the hair and scalp through Chinese Medicine issue ingredients like White Ginseng, Cynanchum, Coix, Russion Iris, and Pomegranate.

This shampoo moisturizes dry scalp with Aloe Extract and Avocado Oil, leaving a refreshing feeling with menthol. The creamy foam created by the natural surfactant softly helps eliminate wastes on scalp. There is no silicon in this product!

The style of the shampoo bottle is very simplistic. It's a grey-ish blue bottle with a white flip top cap which I find the design to be a bit bland. I tend to gravitate towards more colorfully designed and cheery looking bottles when I shop for beauty products. However, this bottle correctly represents the shampoo's message and aesthetic. The name itself, True Shampoo, and the design of the bottle amplifies the ideology of this shampoo meaning that it doesn't include unnecessary or damaging ingredients.

The description of the shampoo claims that it's 'for oily scalp types', BUT I think this shampoo would work wonderfully for everyone, no matter your scalp type. I personally have a somewhat dry scalp due to the hot showers I always take, but this shampoo left my hair feeling very healthy and refreshed.

REVIEW:

I usually use about half a palm full because I have super long hair (past the middle of my back). The shampoo is completely clear and smells so nice! The scent is a mixture of a faint fruity smell along with a light herbal scent. I often get compliments of how nice my hair smells! When applying to my hair and scalp, it feels so refreshing when massaging into my hair. It lathers up very easily with lots of bubbles. It makes the scalp feel slightly tingly, which makes me feel awake and relaxed, so definitely the perfect shampoo to use for the early morning showers! It's very gentle on the scalp and doesn't strip you of your natural oils, but also leaving the hair feeling clean.

My current hair problems include being dull, a little dry (because all of the hot water I use), and lacking volume. I usually have a problem with having some dry flakes (yikes!), so I am usually forced to use haircare products with oils (like argan or monoi oil) to fight my dry scalp. However, I saw a major reduction in the amount of dry flakes! I don't have any at all anymore after using the Look at Hair Loss True Shampoo. The shampoo works amazingly well in providing moisture for scalp. My scalp hasn't felt dry since using this shampoo even despite the fact that I shower with warm to hot water. The shampoo has also helped improve the strength of my hair. A problem I tend to have when I have long hair is that it can end up looking lifeless, brittle, and full of split-ends if it's not cared for well. This shampoo has helped me avoid all of the brittleness and my hair feels a lot stronger and looks shinier.

On the other hand, I can't speak on whether or not it helps in preventing hair loss, since I don't deal with that problem, but I strongly recommend this shampoo to everyone, no matter your scalp type!

    1. Yes, I use this product alone! I'm sure it'll be fine if you wanted to use a conditioner along with it (for extra softness to your hair), but it has worked fine for my hair alone. :)

    2. Awesome! I'd like to give this shampoo a try since I have hair loss. Do you know where I can find this shampoo? Or is Gmarket and 11ST the only way?

    3. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this shampoo anywhere online, so I think Gmarket (and other shopping services of the like) is your best bet!
