REVIEW: O'melon Chameleon Essence Queen CC Cushion in Cover Beige

The last item I'm reviewing from my August BNT Box also happens to be my favorite... It's the O'melon Chameleon Essence Queen CC Cushion! I'm still a noob when it comes to cushion compacts, but they have taken over my vanity and replaced the bb creams and foundations I used to use. The cushion compact is literally all of my wants, needs, and dreams combined into one product; not only is the application with the antibacterial puff super quick and easy, but they're so convenient and easy to carry around for traveling and touch-ups. Not to mention, application is flawless a.k.a. no streaks or missed spots on your face!

WHAT IS THE O'MELON CHAMELEON QUEEN CC CUSHION?

This is the first time I've been introduced to the brand O'melon and after seeing this cushion compact I'm left wondering... where has this been all my life?! The cushion compact case is a pale vintage gold with a reflective geometric design on the top. This cushion compact comes with two applicator puffs, one in the compact and a spare.

The O'Melon Chameleon Queen CC Cushion is not your average cushion compact. This cushion compact contains 3 separate shades (50% beige, 25% white, and 25% pink) soaked into the cushion instead of the usual one shade foundation. The combination of these three shades lets you achieve a flawless waterproof coverage.

This cushion is also equipped with a vegetal cooling essence to soothe heated skin and treat wrinkles while boosting elasticity.

The three shades in the cushion all have different benefits tied to them:

Beige: Covers dull tone, freckles, blemishes, and pimples

White: Contains various plant extracts to help complete a smooth and natural makeup look while also working to preserve it

Pink: Contains rose essence for a healthy and bright complexion

REVIEW

Besides the stunning packaging, my favorite thing about this cushion is the fact that it contains an essence. This means that the cushion is perfect for all skin types, even those with dry skin! I know I always have problems with dehydrated skin and end up getting dry spots when applying foundation. However, that's not the case with this cushion compact (and most cushion compacts for that matter)! The O'melon Chameleon Essence Queen CC Cushion gives a medium coverage that's build able without looking cakey. This cushion gives off a dewy finish that doesn't look oily or greasy. It doesn't feel sticky on the skin either and is very breathable.

At first, I was skeptical as to whether this cushion would leave random white or pink spots on my face since it's a tricolored cushion, but that fear quickly disappeared after trying it on. The three different colors (beige, white, and pink) blend together effortless thanks to the soft applicator puff. Just be sure to pat all over the face to blend it all in! Ever since I started using cushions, I prefer using the puff over any of my brushes, beauty blenders, and even my fingers.

This cushion masks almost all of my imperfections the second I pat it onto my skin. My fine lines, small wrinkles, pores, and blemishes are all minimized. What's left on my skin is a very even skin tone that looks dewy, youthful, and glowing.

The color I'm reviewing today is #11 Cover Beige. I'm really curious as to whether or not there are other shades available or if this is the only one. Unfortunately this shade is a too light for me at the moment since I recently got back from a week long vacation of laying on the Florida beaches and tanning, but I think this color would suit me perfectly during winter!

PROS:

Packaging is GORGEOUS
Hydrating
Travel friendly
Comes with a spare puff
Medium to full coverage
Hides blemishes and small imperfections
Dewy finish
Skin is more even
Skin texture is improved

CONS:

NONE

Here are some photos of me wearing it!

RATING: 5/5

I love the quality of this cushion... If only there were more shades!

  1. Not only is it beautiful, but it does a lovely job with coverage. I have to look now and see if they have it in different shades. The one you got is too dark for me ^^

    1. What shade are you usually? This shade is actually REALLY light on me (I'm glad the camera doesn't put huge emphasis on my face being white from the foundation and my body being a lot tanner LOL). I think it might fit you!

    1. Thank you Mitch! It's all thanks to Korean skincare hehe :) And I totally agree; I've never seen a cushion with three different shades in it before this one.
