REVIEW: Studio Gear True Lipsticks Collection + COUPON CODE!

I don't know about you guys, but I am always on the market for lipsticks. No matter how much I have, I just can't help but want MORE! :) For me, lipsticks can really tie an outfit together. Whether you're looking for a pop of color to spruce up your outfit or just looking for something natural, a lipstick can be your best friend. Today, I'll be reviewing the entire True Lipstick Collection from Studio Gear Cosmetics.

Described as "The Modern Classics," the True Lipsticks are velvety soft, ultra matte lipsticks that contain pigment-rich colors that wear long and stay true.

There are SIX different statement shades that are perfectly balanced to flatter all skin tones. The six different shades are True Red, True Pink, True Magenta, True Plum, True Mauve, and True Nude.

A modern classic. This lovely shade of red is the perfect balance of warm and cool. Created to compliment every skin tone.

The perfect statement pink is just a hint on the cool side for a beautifully updated modern classic look that works on all skin tones.

It's the perfect bold color for Spring and Summer.

Let's hear it for stand out color that hugs your lips and flatters your skin tone like it's always been there. This deep, rich magenta is a classic that dresses up any look.

It's the perfect transition shade to wear if you're not ready to wear a full-on red lip. This shade is also a gorgeous Fall color!

Deep, rich, and sexy. This lovely plum is the perfect balance of deep purple and sultry red that applies like a dream and flatters every skin tone.

True Plum is THE prettiest dark vampy shade for Fall and Winter. It's a gorgeous shade of purple that all skin tones can easily pull off.

The softest warm mauve is as delicate as it is a statement designed to compliment all skin tones and wear beautifully with a summer dress or a smokey eye.

True Mauve is the perfect year-round shade. It's a flawless dusty rose that is flattering on everybody. This shade is my favorite out of the whole True Lipsticks Collection!

Nude is a color all its own. This modern classic is warmed up with a touch of pink for universally flattering appeal.

True Nude is a warm peachy-nude shade. I'm usually not a fan of nude lipsticks because they tend to wash out my lips.

Here are swatches of all six lipsticks:

Packaging and Design
All of the Studio Gear True Lipsticks come in the same sleek packaging: an all matte black tube, which is very fitting for these velvety matte lipsticks. There's a a silver lining along where the cap connects to the tube and when you pull off the cap, it reveal a silver neck. The packaging for the lipstick feels very sturdy; if you accidentally drop it on the floor, it will most likely be okay! I LOVE the packaging

Ease of Use
The pull-off cap is a breeze to take off/put back on and the lipsticks can be twisted up with ease. Lipstick has never been easy for me to apply... It really depends on your own level of expertise. However, these lipsticks are creamy, therefore making it relatively easy to apply, and firm enough so that you can control it. The lipstick glides onto your lips and doesn't emphasize your dry spots or settle into your fine lines.

Texture and Scent
As far as I could tell, these lipsticks have no distinctive scent. This would be perfect for those of you who are sensitive to smells. The texture of these lipsticks are incredibly creamy, but easy to control.

The True Lipsticks are highly pigmented; all I need is one swipe to achieve full-on color! The lipsticks tend to stay put when applied with minimal color transfer. I found that the lighter colors of these lipsticks were a bit patchy on my lips, like Nude. The darker colors had no problem with this whatsoever. The lipsticks also don't feel heavy on the lips. What I love most about these lipsticks is that it does NOT dry out my lips, unlike most matte lipsticks. Of course, I always have to have lip balm underneath these lipsticks (because I have super dry lips), but even then these lipsticks are packed with wonderful color that does not budge. These lipsticks are truly long-lasting and look great on even after 6+ hours.
