REVIEW: Banila Co. Clean It Zero Special Kit + GIVEAWAY (SKIN18 COUPON)

I am SO excited for today's post, because I'm offering my very first giveaway to you guys, YAY! :D I'll be posting details on the giveaway at the bottom of this post, so stay tuned for that (scroll down if you just want to skip to it). Also, I have a very special coupon code worth 25% off your entire purchase on Skin18.com, which I'll also post at the bottom of this post! In the mean time, here is a review of one of my all-time favorite makeup removers/cleansers: the Banila Co. Clean It Zero!

The Banila Co. Clean It Zero is a cult favorite for very good reason -- honestly, it's just one of the best makeup removers out there for many, myself included! However, today I'm actually reviewing the 4-piece Banila Co. Clean It Zero Special Kit (kindly sent to me by Skin18.com) which comes with all FOUR deluxe-sample sized Clean It Zero Cleansers: Original, Purity, Resveratrol, and Radiance.

Personally, I find all of the Clean It Zero cleansing balms to be very similar to each other. Every single one has a thick, solid, sherbet texture that melts on contact with the skin and instantly dissolves makeup, sunscreen, and even waterproof mascara! What's great about the Clean It Zero cleansers is that it contains all the power of oil cleansers, but without the drippy mess. Oil cleansers tend to be a little bit more difficult to handle since the oil can drip down your arm or your face while cleansing and that doesn't happen with sherbet cleansers, at least not for the Clean It Zero!

Another thing that I adore about the Clean It Zero is that it emulsifies with water really easily and transforms into a cleansing milk that is easily washed away. There's no greasy, sticky, or messy residue left -- just fresh and clean skin!

Each tub is 7ml (28ml in total) and is the perfect size to bring along for traveling if you need a dependable makeup remover without any bulky packaging.

ORIGINAL

The Clean It Zero Original is my basic go-to cleanser cleansing sherbet because of it's cheaper price point. I loved this one so much that I went and bought the jumbo sized jar since I like to wear makeup every single day, and I need a trusty makeup remover to take it all off. The Original is very reliable when it comes to removing every single trace of makeup on my skin, and I always find myself reaching for this one instead of regular oil cleansers. It is suitable for all skin types, especially those with a normal skin type. It contains acerola and herbal essences which helps to moisturize the skin. This leaves my skin feeling nourished and hydrated. Plus, the Original has a light, floral and slightly fruity scent, which I love!

PURITY

My personal favorite is the Clean It Zero in Purity. The Purity is formulated for those with sensitive skin and though I actually don't have sensitive skin, I love using it because it's super gentle and non-irritating. It is free from artificial coloring, synthetic fragrance, alcohol, parabens, and mineral oil. Another thing about Purity which I like a lot more than the rest is the fresh and clean lemon-y scent!

RESVERATROL

The Clean It Zero in Resveratrol is the anti-aging one out of the four. It contains an antioxidant agent of Resveratrol which helps to firm the skin. It also contains grape seed and olive oil which work to tighten, nourish, and moisturize. The Resveratrol is supposed to be effective in reducing large pores, but unfortunately I only noticed a small change with the appearance of my pores. However, after using the Resveratrol, my skin was noticeably softer, supple, and a bit more firm. The scent is very similar to that of the original, but a bit more fruity!

RADIANCE

Lastly, the Clean It Zero in Radiance is meant to combat dull skin and whiten, which translated from the K-Beauty world, means to brighten! It contains Viticin and Moringa Essence which work to brighten the skin. In fact, I did indeed notice a brighter complexion the more I used this. I tend to have dull skin, but after using my face looked and felt a lot more moisturized and healthy. My skin has become much more supple and luminous overall, with a natural glow! I highly recommend this one if you struggle with dull skin and need a pick me up!

  1. The Banila Co. Clean It Zero is seriously the best makeup remover ever! I went through two tubs of the Original and decided to try the Purity one and was kind of disappointed. Maybe it's just me, but I find that the Purity doesn't cleanse as well as the Original, with no added benefits either even though I have really sensitive skin >__< I think I'll just stick with the Original in the future, since there's no need to spend a few extra dollars on a makeup remover with "additional benefits" ^^; It's only on your face for a minute or two max after all! Thanks for the review Mary :D

    1. I totally agree! :D I've gone through one tub and just bought the jumbo one because I can't live without it! ^o^ I think what I like most about the Purity vs the Original is just the scent, but the Purity does require you to massage it in more for it to be as effective, so that's a downside. I definitely would go for the Original too because it's cheaper and just as great of a remover! :)

  12. I also bought the jumbo sized jar and I finished it, I have the 100ml one but I already reordered the jumbo one. I want to try an oil cleanser but I just love this one so much it works so well so I don't know when I'll try another first cleanser. But I would love to see what's the the difference between the four types. :')
