Anti-aging skincare can not only be used to help strengthen the skin's barrier and elasticity, it can also be used as preventative measures even for those who believe they're too young to use anti-aging products. As the years pass on, I get more and more aware of how my skin ages even though I'm only 21 years-old! I used to not have a care in the world until I started noticing tiny fine lines showing up around my under-eye area. Since then, I've been been trying to incorporate as many anti-aging products as possible into my routine to try and reverse wrinkles in the early stages. Even though I don't have many noticeable ones, anti-aging products are still great for preventative measures and can improve your skin's overall texture too! So for today's review, I'm going to review the Yeblang Special A Star Essence from Hwajin Cosmetics that I received in this month's BNT Box! :)
HWAJIN COSMETICS YEBLANG SPECIAL A STAR ESSENCE
The Yeblang Special A Star Essence from Hwajin Cosmetics (30 g) is the most unique essence that I've ever tried... It's ORANGE! Surprisingly though, the orange color isn't color dye, but instead it comes from the anti-aging ingredient, Astaxanthin. Don't be fooled by its bright orange color though because Astaxanthin helps to provide nutrients that strengthen and nourish the skin!

The Yeblang Special A Star Essence comes housed in a luxurious orange teardrop glass bottle. It's such a beautiful bottle and looks especially fancy sitting on any vanity or bathroom counter. Attached to the twist off cap is a clear dropper that easily dispenses the product. To use, apply a proper amount even onto a clean face after toning. I dispense about 3 drops and it's the perfect amount for my entire face! Beware though, the essence may stain clothing, so make sure it's fully absorbed!
The texture of the essence is unlike typical essences because of it's thick jelly and ampoule-like consistency. Despite it's thicker consistency, it's really easy to spread all over the skin and it absorbs quickly deep within the layers of the skin. It feels somewhat like a watery-gel because as you rub it into the skin, it turns into a really lightweight, almost water-like consistency and seeps into the skin.
What I like about this is that it doesn't just sit on the surface, but it actually envelopes my skin with moisture making it feel much more supple to the touch right after application, with no sticky or greasy feeling at all!
As you can see in the photo below, when it's freshly applied, it has a slight watery dew-drop layer that quickly fades into a semi-matte finish when fully absorbed!
After just about a week of use, I noticed that my fine lines in my under-eye area were decreasing and the skin in that area was becoming much more smooth and even. The results keep on happening even onto the two week mark, and my fine lines are lessening with each use. As of today, my fine lines aren't completely gone, but they have decreased dramatically!

FINAL THOUGHTS?
I was thoroughly impressed with the Yeblang Special A Star Essence from Hwajin Cosmetics. Though the one downside is that there is only 30g of product in the bottle, which is admittedly quite a small amount for the price tag of 49,800 won (roughly $42)! However, a little definitely goes a long way -- I only use this during my nighttime routine, so that's just 3 droplets per day. I was able to notice both short-term instantaneous results, as well as long-term improvements. The essence itself is definitely effective in lessening fine lines, strengthening the skin's barrier, and improving the skin's overall texture. The essence absorbs deep within the layers of my skin and it has become so much smoother and softer -- I haven't experienced dry flakey skin since! Plus there's no sticky or greasy residue!

What does it smell like? Scent is another huge thing for me.
The fine line reduction is fantastic! For me, that alone is worth the money. Not many products will show such dramatic results in such a short amount of time.
It's never too early to use anti-aging products. I started using them as a teenager and now that I'm in my 30s I don't look like I'm in my 30s. Anti-aging and SPF, one of the most brilliant combinations ever.
The scent is pretty faint, and it just smells like a clean generic skincare scent to me! I was also blown away by the effects too and I definitely didn't expect much from it since it takes so long for most anti-aging skincare products to show improvements!
