REVIEW: MACQUEEN Creamy Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint (#01 Light Pink)

Sorry for disappearing on you guys! I just finished moving into my new apartment and unpacked all of my many, many things. It's been a hectic week so far, so I didn't have a lot of time to blog, but now I'm all yours! :D Today's review is on the MACQUEEN Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint, which I received courtesy of Yesstyle from their Top 10 Must-Try Korean Beauty Items!

2-in-1 products are always good in theory, but I often find it difficult to really have a multifunctional product excel in both aspects or forms. At least, that was until I met the MACQUEEN Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint!

MACQUEEN CUSHION LIP AND CHEEK TINT

Smudge-free lip tint adds delicious color to your lips, giving them a moisturized, glossy look!

The MACQUEEN Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint (retails for $6.90, 10ml/0.33 fl.oz) comes in 6 different shades:
#01 LIGHT PINK  |  #02 NUDE CORAL  |  #03 ORANGE  |  #04 HOT PINK  |  #05 RED  |
#06 CELEBRITY RED

The MACQUEEN Cushion Lip Tint is a 2-in-1 product that features a fluffy, 'cushion'-like tint that can be used on the lips or on the cheeks as blush. The tint comes in a tiny frosted glass bottle that fits perfectly into the palm of my hand. The packaging is very simplistic and gives off a professional vibe because the bottle looks like a little scientific test tube!

It features a black twist-off cap that's attached to a short wand applicator. The wand tapers off to a pointed end which allows for clear-cut application especially when tracing the edges of your lips. The applicator tip is slightly flexible and bends enough to follow the curves of the lips. It's an ideal tip that makes it easy to apply color all over the lips with precision. It's hard to mess up with, and there's no need for a lip brush either!

I received the Macqueen Cushion Lip Tint in the shade #01 Light Pink. Light Pink is a blue-toned baby pink that's slightly muted. It's a very light shade and would probably look best with those with cooler undertones and fair skin, but since it's a bit muted, it's easier on the eyes and can work with other skin tones too. On me, it looks a little pastel, which washes out my skin a little bit, but I adore this shade because it's thick enough to mask my natural lip color and is a great "Barbie" color!

The lip tint itself has a very creamy, whipped texture. It's very thick and has a cushion-y feel when applied on the lips. It relatively lightweight on the lips considering the formula -- it's not as light as a regular lip tint, but also not as heavy as a lipstick! The tint doesn't feel as high maintenance as other lip products like lipsticks, glosses, and etc.

Thanks to it's unique fluffy texture, it spreads effortlessly onto the lips with zero patchiness. I can easily get even color with this tint, but beware, if you use too much, it does settle into fine lines. It can be easily fixed by blotting with a tissue paper though! Once on, the Creamy Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint has a glossy finish that does transfer onto other surfaces, especially while eating or drinking. Throughout the day, the glossiness fades away after 2-3 hours of wear, but it leaves behind a soft matte tint that feels incredibly comfortable on the lips and doesn't budge! It's very long-lasting and wore all day for me (I tested it out for an 8 hour period).

The Macqueen Cushion Lip Tint can be used in a handful of ways -- it can be applied all over the lips for even, opaque color...

Or it can be applied by dotting onto lips and blending out for a softer, sheerer, and more gradient effect.

The lip tint can also be worn on the cheeks as blush by dabbing on the product and blending outward with the fingers. As a blush, a little goes a long way and I only need about 2-3 dots of product per cheek. It blends out easily and seamlessly to a natural satin finish that doesn't emphasize uneven skin textures, dry patches, pores, or fine lines. As a blush, it lasted about 5 hours before fading.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I LOVE this lip tint so much! The MACQUEEN Creamy Cushion Lip and Cheek Tint creates a nice coat over the lips that's very nourishing and moisturizing on. It doesn't dry out the lips or accentuate dry spots at all! It's easy to wear, low maintenance, and conditions the lips while its on. PLUS, it's super affordable -- it's under $7! Unfortunately, it does settle into fine lines, but it's a quick fix by blotting with a tissue, so it's not a big deal for me. I also adore the applicator wand -- it's tapered and allows for easy and precise application. As a blush, the lip tint works well too -- it's a pigmented blush that gives the cheeks a nice, natural-looking flush that blends out to a satin finish!

I'd definitely recommend trying out this tint especially if you suffer from dry lips because it nourishes your lips giving it extra TLC throughout the day!
