REVIEW: LAFINE Vegetable Firming Cream

Today, I'll be reviewing the last item in LAFINE's vegetable-focused skincare line - the Vegetable Firming Cream! Like the Vegetable Foam Cleansing and the Deep Cleansing Cream which I've previously reviewed, the Vegetable Firming Cream contains five skin-friendly vegetables: Cucumber, Tomato, Parsley, Water Parsley, and Carrot. The extracts from these five main ingredients help to revitalize dry and dull skin as well as improve the skin's elasticity and moisture content.

So without further ado, lets get to the review!

PRODUCT WEIGHT: 200ml

HOW TO USE: On a cleansed face and after toner, apply a generous amount of the Vegetable Firming Cream and gently massage the cream along the natural lines and contours of the face. Move in circular motions beginning in the inner parts of the face and moving outward towards the edges. After 5 minutes of massaging, wipe up the excess cream with a tissue.

The Vegetable Firming Cream comes in an all white jar with a dark brown twist-off cap. Printed on the cap is a colorful vegetable design that displays the 5 major ingredients contained inside this cream which is Cucumber, Tomato, Parsley, Water Parsley, and Carrot. The vegetable print is a vibrant contrast against the plain packaging, which really puts the vegetables as the main focus of the cream. The packaging is nearly identical to the Deep Cleansing Cream though that jar is green while this one is white, but everything else remains the same.

Included inside the jar is a plastic protective cover as well as a handy spatula, which helps keep the cream free from germs and bacteria that may be on your fingers.

The Vegetable Firming Cream has a very unique texture - it's a thick and rich white cream with mini green and red granules all throughout. The green and red beads contain vegetable extracts which dissolve into the skin as you massage the cream. This delivers nutrients directly to the surface of the skin!

The cream itself has a fragrant cucumber scent that has an aromatherapy effect since it helps me relax as I work the cream in. Due to it's very rich nature, the cream has a very noticeable amount of oiliness to it, which can be good and bad - the oiliness helps give the cream some slip which enables it to glide onto the skin easily as you massage it, but it leaves behind an uncomfortable, greasy film.

The Vegetable Firming Cream is meant to be used in place of your regular moisturizer, however, because of its oily texture it left my skin feeling uncomfortable and dirty. I didn't notice much with it's firming claims, but after just 5 minutes of massaging, I definitely noticed a much brighter complexion that's soft and supple to the touch. Sadly though, the greasy feeling was very hard to remove even after I wiped my face with a tissue. Regardless, the cream didn't clog my pores and I woke up to more elastic and resilient skin!

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Vegetable Firming Cream has the ideal oily texture that's perfect for massaging not only the face, but also the body! Unfortunately, the oiliness is hard to remove after the massage, so the skin is left with a greasy film. I personally don't like having heavy oily layers on my skin as my pores are prone to clogging, so this cream wasn't my cup of tea (it didn't clog my pores the two weeks I tested it out, but it felt like it would). I also didn't notice much difference to its firming claims, but I did notice that my complexion was brighter, and my skin was softer and more resilient to the touch.

If you have oily or combination skin, you might want to stay away from this! However, if you have dry or normal skin, this cream will help lock in moisture while making your skin supple and soft all night long.
